After every dream, our mind gets us back into the harsh reality. Lord Buddha, after having lived all his childhood in dreamy and materialistic world saw a homeless elderly person, suffering as he was coming back from a garden. Right at that moment, harsh reality struck him hard. He was moved by the plight of that person, and what happened rest is what you all know. He left the kingdom and went in search of enlightenment, thus came Buddhism!
When I saw this person, all my dreams of India becoming a developed nation were pulled back into current reality. Until and unless we do something for the betterment of such people, we can never be a completely developed nation!

Tough to look at but necessary to see.

Posted by satyadeep | February 18, 2012, 5:24 PMSo true and so profound. If more of us cared for the poor, both materially and spiritually we would all live in a better world. Thank you for sharing the photo and your thoughts with us.
